If you notice the leaves on some of your weeds have black spots. This is presumably fungal disease. I think clearing everything to soil will help open up airflow and reduce drag on soil nutrients. The plant will hopefully respond. Just s guess

look for a couple other symptoms to id YVD for sure. Stunted vines, Wilting in sections and recovery at night. Older leaves will get a bronze look to them. I would get it some more fertilizer and rule out a fertility issue first.
