Probably a nutrient issue? What do organic growers do if they have, say, a copper deficiency? Or boron? Are these minerals "allowed"? Good luck next year.

Google:

is there an "all-organic" 20-20-20 water-soluble fertilizer?

I had two fruits do similar things, though I made up for it on the next fruit on one of the plants with more-frequent apps of magic ferts, lol. That plant had initially had my fastest-growing fruit on it, but it aborted similarly;
In a few days, it had a welcome, open pollination. ThAt fruit is now harvested at 379 pounds and wishes I would sell it or place it at a neighbor's.

An organic gardener can add copper and boron. You can also add 250 grams of volcanic rock dust per square meter which is full of all kinds of (micro)nutrients.

Would be worth getting a soil test done takes the guessing out

It's not about the soil or a lack of nutrients. Because two other pumpkin plants in the same garden yielded fruit without cracking. And they grew normally, but they started late. With the same conditions, with the same watering and top dressing. It's definitely a mutation of these two plants.

You are the head of a small pumpkin club in Russia. You are a totalitarian advocate of growing only on organic. You humiliate everyone who grows on mineral fertilizers, but they achieve excellent results. With your terrible example, you show your inadequacy and inability to grow anything at all. But you accuse the authors of seeds of mutations. There are many people in your club who have shown very decent results. What are you trying to impose on them if you don't know how to do it yourself? Are you limiting their opportunities for further development? (heating is not allowed, planting is not allowed before your command, seeds that you have forbidden them to plant are not allowed, growing is not allowed in the greenhouse, and this is just a small list of what you have FORBIDDEN!!!) this is very sad....

Arina Savvina, calm down already. You look pathetic trying to accuse me of some bad deeds. You are the one who insults the multiple Russian record holders, you are the one who accuses the Russian Book of records of being corrupt, you are the one who has achieved nothing in her life, but you make claims against other people. You and your accomplices in the plagiarism competition can grow as you like. Discrediting further the cultivation of giant pumpkins only with the help of mineral fertilizers and chemicals, after which it is so dangerous to eat pumpkins and zucchini that you use them only as a decorative exhibit. We have a different goal, we grow naturally, without greenhouses and heating, showing the skill of people, not greenhouse engineers and chemists who invented mineral fertilizers. And the members of our Club have been proving this for many years, that giant pumpkins can be grown on natural fertilizers and then safely consumed. None of your friends have ever grown even approximate weight figures with the weight of our participants. That's why it's silly and ridiculous to brag about achievements that don't really belong to you. None of you can grow like we do, because you're scared, you just won't be able to do it;) And it's not for you to dictate how we conduct our competition. This is not a commercial competition, unlike your competition, where you are required to buy seeds from scammers and fertilizers from the organizers. And where gnarled carrots are considered a benchmark and a record :))

I'm genuinely sorry for you... You're not only spewing your venom at us, but you've decided to do it on an international level. Not only are you insulting top engravers in Russia, but you've also insulted the Paton brothers by writing that their seeds are mutated and damaging their reputation. It's humiliating. In reality, you haven't been able to grow anything in five years, but you're claiming that the seeds of record-breaking plants are bad... This is simply the utmost disrespect for those who gave you these seeds, as you claim.

Arina Savvina, feel sorry for yourself, not only do you not understand what you are writing about, but you are also exposing yourself as a scandalous woman and spreading lies. You are deceiving the participants of your competition, helping to rob them, and trying to whiten your reputation at my expense. You're following me everywhere, it's not okay, you need to see a psychiatrist.
