At the Bear & Ragged Staff pub near Romsey, the UK record has been broken. The top five were....

Ian & Stuart Paton 1124 lb (905 Toftness x 1231 Pukos) 7.6% heavy
Ian & Stuart Paton 1002 lb (998 Pukos x 1097 Beachy)
Bob Frazer 452.5 lb (705 Vincent x Gladioli according to Bob)
Roger Clements 385 lb
Paul Burden 297 lb

Congratulations to Ian & Stuart for demolishing the UK record.

As a second act they produced a long gourd which measured 111 inches. A new European record if no-one knows better.

Good effort boys.
