A fantastic GPC Giant Pumpkin Weighoff once again at Krause Berry Farm and Estate winery. Massive crowds, television coverage and just a great event. Been a weird year in our pumpkin patch with outstanding plant health that disappointingly produced 2 light to the chart pumpkins. I don't know how but the 2404 Barron pumpkin that was estimated at 1021 lbs tipped the scale at only 794 lbs for a full 22 percent light. Then the damaged 1995.5 pumpkin hit the scale and also weighed in at 10 percent light to chart at 1258 lbs.
Yep, I'll give it a go next year and grow giants again and I might just incorporate a few changes, additions and upgrades in the process.
