After 25 seasons of growing giants in both Canada (starting in the late 80s) and the Netherlands and 17 years of organizing the Dutch Giant Vegetable Championship I have decided to retire. Due to health issues (including Long COVID) I can no longer grow at a competitive level. Since 2007 I have been privileged to grow 2 world records (squash and marrow), 5 European records and more than 20 national records. Today was the last Dutch Giant Vegetable Championship.
