DAP 25; Two New Splits, Cross-Cut and Sealed
Came out this evening to two fresh stem splits, both sizable. First move: checked for a breach into the seed cavity. Backlit it, checked for weeping or pulp, smell test. Clean. Still solid flesh, no cavity access.
Growth is holding steady. Not stalling, just slow. This fruit was never going to post the numbers Judy was tracking before we lost her, and DAP 21-25 confirms it: real but modest gains, nothing like a peak-window surge.
Cross-cut both ends of each split to stop them from running further. Dabbed diluted hydrogen peroxide at each site, packed with fungicide, fan on the area to keep it dry.
Hoping that's the last of the drama but this plant's track record makes it hard to feel confident it's done but I guess the bright side is it's forcing me to refresh all these skills I haven't had to use for the past 13 years!
