Some winners (hopefully) in the mix here, no clue how it will go this year. The 3.21 Greene got Jiffy starting mix (is this good or bad?). I guess it wont be a fair comparison. Dan Sutherland did a potting mix comparison a few weeks ago on his youtube channel. It really is a gamble. Some seedling mixes are intentionally low in nutrients. It's not necessarily a bad thing... for the sake of germination, some seeds wont sprout well in a heavily fertilized mix. A big factor might be changes in ph and nitrogen that occur after the product is bagged.
Maybe I will try direct seeding some in May or June to bypass this nutrient drama entirely.
