Soaking some practice seeds in a mixture of root building products. Not exactly sure how well they will germinate, but that's why we experiment early, right? I let them soak in a peroxide/water mixture earlier, then dried them off before soaking them in this stuff. I'll let them soak for an hour or two.

Letting the test seeds soak in a solution for about an hour or so. I keep it on the warming mat so the seed softens up a bit. I had success with a similar germination system last year.

5 test seeds are germinating. If this mix of products works out, I won't have to change anything. I prefer the heat pad on the counter method to the cooler or bucket method. It's just easier for me. I'll check them in a day or two. They are sitting at 86F.

3 test plants are up and soaking up the light. The other 2 were just potted yesterday. I'm experimenting with different soil mixes and watering products. I'll compare the root systems of each plant before germinating my primary seeds.

Test plants are doing well. I'll compare root mass in a few days to determine what system is working best.

These roots look good to me, but I'm still fine tuning soil and water mixes.

This is the real deal. I have a few 1683.5 Warner's soaking. Hopefully they germinate. It may be a little early, especially since I don't use ground cables, but I want to get an early start. I still need to add a whole lot to the garden, but I'm hoping I can prepare it before the plants mature. Lots of work to do.

I'm having a difficult time controlling the temperature of my germination mat. Hopefully things go well. I'm hoping for polination no later than June 25.

Germination went very well. Unfortunately my 2102 Meier didn't turn out. It was slow to germinate and didn't grow well. I was looking forward to growing one of Beni's WR. Maybe next year. Hopefully all of the other seeds will break soil without any issues.

Everything is set up. Hopefully they will be in the garden soon.

My BigStem arrived in the mail today with a little surprise enclosed... A 2032 MATHISON! I was outbid numerous times in the auctions for this seed so I am very thankful to have it. Special thanks to Tanner Conway for the BigStem product and the legendary seed. Happy growing everyone!

The 1683.5 Warner might be getting root bound. I'm going to transplant it soon. The garden is not quite ready and we are expecting snow and cold temps on April 25.
