Hmmmmmmm July 19th sounds like a good day to finally start my diary

Here's what I'm growing in 2015. This is a 626 Wolf pollinated with a 1625 Huydic. Yesterday was Day 21 for her, had a 75.5 inch circumference and an OTT of 180.5 inches. Named Joan for Joan Rivers

Here's a 1844 Rose pollinated with a 1625 Huydic. You may start to notice a pattern once I have posted all of my crosses for this year. Day 21 today with a circ. of 86.5 inches and a 205 OTT. Named after Roseanne Barr. Oh and both this pumpkin and Joan got applications of Matt DeBacco's hormonal spray at 48 hours old

The rest of my 3 keepers are only 8, 10 and 12 days old right now. Had a few early abortions and the plants just seemed slow for a while at the start. Hopefully they will get cranking. I'll be putting up some more pics and details this week.

A dusky evening shot of Joan on day 24. Circumference of 92.5 inches and an OTT of 217. Gained 96 pounds over the last 3 days

Roseanne Day 24, OTT of 233.5. 30 pounds a day

My 3rd oldest fruit, a 1717 Fulk pollinated with a 1625 Huydic. Day 15 today at 47.5 inch circumference

A couple pictures of Joan here on day 30. 626 Wolf x 1625 Huydic.

Joan is at 270.5 OTT. Doing just about 35 lbs. a day for the last six days. Battling some vine rot like several of my plants, and now splits where the stem connects to the fruit. Always a challenge

Lost Joan today to a blossom end split. Bummer since she was my best grower and was going to be nice and orange too

Roseanne on day 30 today. This one is confounding me - perfectly healthy plant, should be cranking into high gear but is stuck in 2nd. OTT is 262, averaging just under 20 pounds a day over the last 6 days. Makes no sense to me

Joan continues growing and the split keeps getting wider

Would have been big and orange, what a shame

Oh I'm growing a giant watermelon too, time to decide which one to keep, hmmmmmmmm

So this is Sarah, a 1625 Huydic x 1717 Fulk. Day 27, 244.5 OTT. My last chance this year for a big one, I hope we get 6 more weeks of nice weather

Sarah has a sucked in blossom end

My last chance for a big one, Sarah is doing well. Day 34 today at 292 OTT. Really tall already and white with a super sucked in blossom end
Wednesday, August 19 View Page
Sarah has reached day 41 with a 327 OTT. She's doing her best to salvage the season for me, growing very tall

Trying to decide what should be sitting in there for the photos. Hmmmmmmmmm

Sarah is still growing, it has been hot here and very dry. Lots of watering going on and a quickly dying plant. Day 62 today, and that blossom end is making me a bit uneasy
Wednesday, September 9 View Page
Close up of the blossom end. Cracking on the outside so I think it will be fine. Only maybe a half inch deep at the deepest point. Pumpkin sounds very solid when thumped

One more angle of Sarah.
