            | LJ | South Dakota | Is there anything like the pumpkin OTT for estimating the weight of a tomato? | 8/26/2020 8:59:38 AM |
            | Ned | Honesdale, Pennsylvania | Marv originally had a chart in his book for measuring. Take the biggest Circumference; 15 inches; 1 pound. Add a half pound for every inch. 20 inches- 3.0 pounds. 22 inches- 4.0 pounds... etc. Its pretty damn accurate, especially for those huge non lumpy ones. | 8/26/2020 10:07:20 AM |
            | SaladDoug_UK | Norfolk, UK | Here’s a pic of the chart in Wixom’s diary from a while back - http://bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=251262
It’s an extract from Marv’s giant tomato book; if you’re not read it yet, it’s worth buying and a good read.
