            | Marv. | On top of Brush Mountain, Pa. | I have not gone yet but the only tomatoes I have grown so far in the bucket died from BER. I see lots of people putting sulfur on their BER but it doesn't look like it works. What is the standeard treatment for BER? I imagine more people besides me trying to grow in a bucket are getting hit by it. | 7/28/2020 1:30:09 PM |

            | treetop | Wv | mine didnt make it. very poor plant. too hot here. just a bad yr for me. | 7/28/2020 3:54:14 PM |

            | SaladDoug_UK | Norfolk, UK | I’ve some growing, but nothing flashing ready to harvest as yet. | 7/28/2020 4:04:06 PM |

            | wixom grower ( The Polish Hammer) | Wixom MI. | One theory on what causes BER is the plant going from wet to dry to quickly and of course growing in a 5 gallon bucket that will happen fast and often !!! | 7/28/2020 4:55:34 PM |

            | Little Ketchup | Grittyville, WA | I used some messed up genetics and I am at about 10 oz... only off by the unit of measurement. I wonder if anyone did a hydro plant. | 7/28/2020 4:57:16 PM |

            | Hayden R | Western Massachusetts | Even in 20 gal buckets ammended with calcium and no big surges of water ...(well, minus 1 actual drench) I had BER bigtime. Just so many factors. Try try again. | 7/28/2020 5:50:38 PM |

            | Greenbud | Coventry Rhode Island USA | I’m a expert Ber grower ! | 7/28/2020 6:21:11 PM |

            | Garden Rebel (Team Rebel Rousers) | Lebanon, Oregon | I had a baseball sized one going in a bucket with holes drilled in it. Thought I’d get fancy and dunk it halfway up the bucket in water to soak it up. Sure enough, 12 hours later BER. I really let it dry out now and the BER is drying up and scabbing over. So I’m a believer that t too much water at once as a cause of BER. | 7/28/2020 6:24:55 PM |

            | Little Ketchup | Grittyville, WA | There must be a target % calcium in the water where BER would not occur. Probably the drier the soil, the higher the calcium has to be in the water? | 7/28/2020 7:03:45 PM |

            | Dutch Brad | Netherlands | Did anyone consider burying the bucket in the ground? This would help control heat, but also prevent the soil from drying out too quickly. | 7/30/2020 2:59:02 AM |

            | JohnnyB | Fullerton, California | I have one about 20" that will be ready in about a week. | 7/30/2020 9:53:38 PM |

            | BiddyGoat | Aurora | I have a healthy one on a 5.3 McCoy. Changed to CalMag and azomite which seems to be good. Have been consistent with water. Adding Companion Biological Fungicide. | 8/3/2020 2:36:11 PM |

            | grunt worker | Canada | 19" here and still green | 8/3/2020 6:33:26 PM |
