            | giant pumpkin peep | Columbus, ohio | what is the earliest you can plant a lg? I was think the first of may.
The reason I ask is because I found a place to grow some pumpkins. The people who won the land really want me to do a 4-h project and I think it could be fun. The show is in mid august. So could I have one above 60 inches by mid august?

            | NP | Pataskala,OH | Probably early-mid April if you can cover it with a bucket or something at night. I know people start pumpkin plants in March for August fairs. | 10/26/2009 6:49:28 PM |
            | Marty S. | Mt.Pleasant,Iowa | I planted my 111 Urena outside around May 6th or so and had one 101 inches by August 12th for fair. I set 2 on at 12 ft up and the other grew to 114.5 inches and that one was around 110 by the fair time and was still growing so took the shorter one to fair. | 10/26/2009 7:02:19 PM |
