Richmond Dave?

Must be the largest fruit on the West Coast (well at least the Pacific Northwest)

Same shape as his mother.. CAMMON DAVE a hole in the ground, under the flower to put a fan, is a great idea.

And boy does he love your seed Ruben! Like Northshore Glenn, Dave and I talk daily and he’s like a kid in a candy store he’s so excited!!

I know you won’t see this Dave because to grow a fruit like that you don’t have the extra time for bp.
It’s your year my friend!

Thanks for the good wishes everyone ! And Ruben, I have a fan pointing at the blossom end but it's growing on a thick piece of plywood with a sheet of plastic glued on. Impossible to to dig under it. As we say...pays your money and takes your chances. LOL

Dave, so think about putting an air compressor, the kind that regulates the speed of the air, to make it soft, and putting a little silicone tube in it... I use this one. https://www.brildor.com/es/compresor-de-aire-michelin-mcx-6u
You have to anticipate what a pumpkin of more than 2200 pounds needs, and heavy... michelin-mcx-6u Good Luck!!

Thanks for the tip Ruben !! But I'm not sure why we are doing this. Is it to keep air blowing past the blossom?

When the flower touches the ground, the humidity down there can be bad.

It is better that there is some ventilation, just a little air, very soft, soft, it will keep the flower area safe. If there is any small split, the soft air will heal it, but you won't be able to see it. You can also put a piece of poriespan cork, so that the pumpkin does not go down to the ground, if there is a small opening, you could put a fan nearby.
