It says it was 2145 McMullen x sib. Does anyone know if the father was the 1875 or if it was a different 2145?

Yes, 2031 was the father of 1875. :) They were 2145 x sibb. 2031, I think it may be the only Outdoor grown seed that has gotten over 2000lbs in Europe. I only grew one seed that made my 1922 Mendi 2018. The other 5 that they grew was my father who used it as a pollinator, and he did not follow the plant and various novelties from my town. I think it is an untested seed, but there are very few seeds, I think I remember that there were only 50 good seeds.

Well, I don't have any of these seeds but I'm confused right from the start,
by both the question and the answer;
PF says 2031 = (2145 X SIB) >>>2145 x SIBB Spain Record!!!!!
PF says 1875 = (2145 X SIB) >>>(PLANT OF 2031 Mendi 2017 PUMPKIN)
And now, the 1922 is a SELF! AUUGGHH!!!
Too many big pumpkins for my brain, Mr. Mendi, lol---
I guess, technically, the 2031 was not the pollinator of the 1875 -
The 2031's plant, being '2145' until its bitter end, was.
SO, it seems, as was said,
2031 (2145 X Sib)
1875 (2145 X Sib) and
1922 (2031 X Self);
Consider those 50 gone in next year's auctions, lol!

Yes plant of 2031 was pollinator of 1875. And plant of 1875 pollinator of 2031.

And 1922 was 2031 x self.

I only has some seed 2031, 1875 and 1922, maybe 5-6 seeds.

The plant of 1922 was amazing, but I add very much water. It was my first year in green house, and the soil wasn't good, there was no good drainage. I'm sure that now I could get more with 2031, but now there are many more seeds. :)

Ruben, do you know how the germination rate on 1875's has been lately? I plan to grow one, and would like to know if I need a backup.

I don't know the germination rate. But it is a 2017 seed, hydrate it well. Jonah, every grower does what they want with the seeds, but I think you may have made a mistake in the exchange of 2183, I think you should have kept it for yourself. If you are looking to improve genetics, or get to 2000 pounds, 2183 would have helped you a lot.In any case, if you are going to grow 3 plants, I advise you to sow at least 12 seeds... the ones that grow best for the main well, the ones that do a little worse as bacups, and the others you can put as pollinators in pots. I do it like this, but with 25 seeds. and with 6 pollinators, which go to pots. To improve genetics, pollinators are as important as mother plants. If you have the pollinator in pots, it is best not to put fungicides or insecticides on it. The ideal is to pay with flowering fertilizer, so that those flowers have a lot of pollen, and good pollen.

Thanks for the info! I originally wanted to keep the 2183, but decided to give it away because I knew that someone could do much better with it than me. I'll start a couple this year as your advice says, and I can't wait to grow the 1875! It's been a long winter lol
