Some scum bag copied all my data about pumpkin records and created a page exactly like mine. This sucks.

I understand this may not be important to most of you, but I've been recording this data since 2000.

Hey Duncan if it’s any consolation, your records page is on my bookmarks list and https://www.backyardgardener.com/ has always been a go to site fot a long time.

Data mining is pretty common now, sorry it happened to you.

I don't blame you for being ticked off, you have put in a ton of work over the years. Thank you for your service to the giant vegetable growing community.

Duncan - that is good news. The bigger picture here is that your intellectual property is a valuable asset. Have you contacted an IP attorney about trademarking your logo on your website? I looked at your website www.backyardgardener.com - very nice site and logo - but I did not notice a registered mark adjacent to your logo. At a minimum you should place a TM or SM symbol next to your logo.

I copied the information below from https://www.uspto.gov/trademarks/basics/what-trademark

Every time you use your trademark, you can use a symbol with it. The symbol lets consumers and competitors know you’re claiming the trademark as yours. You can use “TM” for goods or “SM” for services even if you haven’t filed an application to register your trademark.

Hope this helps,
Teresa
