What designs work best for food production I want to feed the hungry its my mission well on a small scale while I raise my Littles but the design I saw had pipes vermiculite peatmoss hose fill spot angle drain spout self water release for 2 months has anyone had any luck with raised gardens what design works best?

Hard to understand all of your question. If you're serious about food production you might consider moving to the Willamete Valley. Wherever Steve Daletas grew pumpkins the previous year would probably make an ok garden, lol.

With your sandy soil and hot dry climate, the primary issue will be to deliver just the right amount of water every day. Watch some basic videos on types of irrigation, and maybe just for kicks some more advanced videos on irrigation in desert regions (Israel for example). Hay bale gardening is similar to sandy soils like yours, btw. Check out Neds diary, and videos online. The internet isnt always very intelligent... it can be a good source of ideas, but not all ideas (on typical social media) are necessarily good ones so there's still lots of room to learn and think for one's self.

I’ve been doing recycling bottles inverted to release water slower after I water in pots but have a lot of barn wood would like a better method

Look into Blumat irrigation. It works really well for raised beds when hooked up to their version of soaker hose.

Here's a super old video where I show how they work. I actually used them with my giant pumpkin a few years ago to automate the watering. I think it's a really interesting technology because it maintains moisture in your soil at a set point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7f_Fg5IlY0

As for vegetable bed designs. Raised beds will be more cost than growing in rows in ground if you have the space. If you decide to do raised beds then soil depth will be determined by type of plants you wish to grow. 4' is the average width so you can reach across the bed from both sides.
