Yes I agree the Anabelica is a very aggressive growing plant! But what are you seeing with the growth of the pumpkin?

From the photos that have been sent to me of the small open flowers, I am sure that many 2356 will be heavy. Amazing wall. The genetics 1686 stels, has given him a plus of %, I am very sure. We'll see on the scales.

My plant has a main of 26 ft long and secondaries of 17 ft and the pumpkins are painfully slow growing! The 1st one was pollinated on June 21st at 13 ft out and is the size of a softball and the 2nd is 18 ft out and is growing at the same pace as the 1st one. My other plant has a pumpkin that I pollinated on the same date of June 21st and is measuring 39 inches around and that is on a 2294 Noel and is a smaller plant. Any ideas or is it just one of those seeds out of the patch that is a no go!

The heavy % genetics are fickle in my experience. It can take more than just having a big plant to get their fuse lit.

I'm interested on peoples thoughts on dud vs silver bullet. My experience has been that if the fruit are slow along the main theyll all be similar whether you go with one of those first two or wait for the next one twenty some feet out. Im curious if you can get it to crank by terminating a lot of the vines.

Yep Joe, I think terminating vines is the answer.

Cut off my first fruit as I wanted the later ones. First fruit looked good inside when I checked it out.

The 2356 Mendi has been an awesome plant so far for me as well Jake. As of now the Pumpkin looks really aggressive as well, but only time will tell.

My 2356 Man do is doing very well. I think the best is yet to come, since I'm growing it in a 1200 sq ft patch.
