I know a few people put sulfur, and hydrogen peroxide and ext. What would you do if your stem cracked/ splited?

Good question, I won’t hijack your post but I was thinking the same thing. I hear some growers fill severe stem cracks with silicone. I would like to know if this works, I have one at ten days with big cracks on the stem.

I would dry it off with a paper towel and than dust it with sulphur powder maybe put a fan if it worries me

Sulphur or captan powder and keep it dry.

Silicone will help keep it from drying out(which is what you trying to do).Use silicone if the crack goes into the seed cavity and your trying get a couple more weeks for the seeds to get more mature.

stem splits are pretty normal. I had one develop this year at the 8 day mark or so. I apply sulfur powder and then have a fan on it to keep it dry. The fan will run for the rest of the growing season and I occasionally will re-apply the sulfur.
