I'm just a little bit worried about our Long Gourd growers in this hobby. Probably have to take a 2nd mortgage out this year for the long 2 x 4's they use to support their gourds. Just sayin.

No worry for me, I can't get one to germinate.

Lol. More expensive to grow than an Atlantic giant? Maybe a trellis on an existing wall.

Plywood is 115.00 a sheet in California! :(

It was 12 bucks for the same sheet this time last year...... I guess I won't be buying new ones for under the fruit this year!

I read that Nordstroms big showcase store windows are 50K apiece. $115... I guess that's a bargain!

Slabwood is still pretty cheap, around here anywhere from $20-40 per truckload if you load it yourself. You get to cherry pick the pieces. I built my cold frames by ripping pieces of slab wood, not the best but it works. I plan to do the same with the long gourds. I’m not paying $100 bucks for a sheet of plywood.
