I still have not received my Lot 2 of giant watermelon seeds from the BHGPG Auction, did anybody get my melon seeds by mistake? There is never, ever a response from Matt Winey, so will probably go through PayPal to get my money back if things can't get figured out?????

I guess I'm just shit out of luck. PayPal says beings I voluntarily sent Matt Winey the money, that I can not get my buyer protection money back guarantee. So much for PayPal protecting your purchases. Not surprising from BHGPG, after dropping multiple pumpkins last year, not having the awards an hand, ignoring me just exactly like I have been ignored this time when trying to get seeds through the seed raffle. Now this on the seed sale. Who can you trust?

Certainly not Matt Winey who I think is the entire BHGPG membership. Anybody know any other members? Money probably going right into his pocket. There are always sponsors for the prizes.

LJ, Matt offered me a refund for my seeds that had not been delivered and I said let’s give it a couple more weeks and see if they turn up. Sure enough, they did turn up. My experience with this auction indicates that Matt might be in over his head a bit trying to do a lot of work for the BHGPG club, but not that he is trying to rip anyone off. Running a giant pumpkin club and putting on a weigh-off is a lot of work and typically requires several active volunteers. Show the guy some grace and maybe contact him personally about a refund if that’s what you think is appropriate.

I have tried four times to contact Matt with not one reply. Does someone have a phone number for this guy. I live in the same state, surely the mail would have gotten to me right away. TruckinPunkin, how did you get in contact with him? I have tried and tried again with no response. I am starting to take this personally.

I recieved seeds promptly thanks Matt. Isolated mistake. I am sure myself or someone else would be willing to send u extra watermelon seeds unless your heart was set on those specific seeds. It may have been a postal error?

I am OK with everything, and understand that shit happens. I just want to get a response so things can get figured out. I just want a response so we can figure it all out. My watermelons are already 3 weeks old, so really don't need seeds anymore this year. And yes, I wanted those particular seeds. It seems that everyone else besides me has no problem getting a response from him. The paypal went through, so I know I used the correct email.

Good stuff glad to hear LJ. I sent him another email reminder on the 2 lots I won. As with all auctions I participated in before, always sent email to confirm total costs first then would transfer/send payment. I never received a confirmation so hopefully soon? He could be very busy which is fine, but time is getting critical.

Emails get lost (spam) or overlooked... In most cases just paying promptly & include all your info this invites fewer problems.

And just for clarification, I got an email from matt stating, "I hear you're looking for me, what can I do"? I replied to that email the same AM on last Thursday the 6, and in typical matt winey style, as of today the 11, I have not gotten any response what-so-ever? I still have no idea what happened nor if my seeds were even shipped? I know all old timers are super great people and it is taboo to call one out on any bullshit they pull. The only time matt shows up on this site is when he has seeds to sell. I know damn well the site is no worse for wear for anything I created here. You old timers (Gads) all assume that I am the badass here when I am the one that has gotten totally ignored and assumedly ripped off. If this was an honest mistake, I certainly would have not been ignored as I have, and still being. Howard, you understand because you and I are in the same boat. Good luck to you in getting an seeds, I doubt you will get any response either. Please come bach here and post if you ever do. Don't say anything bad or you will be accused of marring the site.

Gritty Kins, decent and specific directions on how and to whom to pay would also make way fewer problems. We were told to send confirmation email and nothing more. A return confirmation email with total amount due and how/who to pay was never received. Hard to pay when you don't know how/who to pay.
