Things about to get EXTREMELY difficult after may 15th as the US government will be tightening up any and all agriculture shipments entering the USA, specifically targeting small parcels and packets This is primarily for the stopping of Cannabis seeds into the US from Europe, but also encompass personal travellers either by Ship or Air. You know they will target garden seeds also, because honestly, some of these guys can't tell the difference from pumpkins or pot seeds My Agriculture Canada guy says it's already on the radar to include the rest of all of us, and I know for a fact Sweetgrass Montana has installed a drive through xray specific to plant matter.

Thanks for the heads up Eddy. I sincerely believe it is only going to get worse with all countries as what we have been going through over the years. My beef is like you alluded to...all seeds included. I can appreciate countries worried about "fine" tiny seeds which have better odds of containing noxious weed seeds and so forth. But yet pick on a giant pumpkin seed? Oh dear. Hope you are keeping well and take care. Danny

There was also that weird flood of unsolicited seeds from China into the US last year. APHIS got on top of that in a hurry.

Thanks for the info, Eddy. As a club secretary and auction host, I have always cringed when I sent seeds out of the U.S. While we really appreciate the support of our international bidders, I am always fearful of such regulations preventing the seeds from reaching their destination without my knowledge and any way to track them after they have left U.S. soil.
Our only recourse has been to include disclaimers in our auction rules, terms, and conditions.

Many of the seeds shipped from China were purchased by large USA seed vendors. Due to the large demand for all vegetable seeds due to covid.

Here’s a story about the unsolicited seeds from China. They were small packages like we use for sending pumpkin seeds.
