Will anyone admit to tasting what you are feeding your plants? I've heard stories of farmers tasting their soil to get a better understanding. Maybe that was a "back in the days before soil testing" thing.
Obviously you shouldnt taste you pesticides. What about using the chemical detectors you were born with to really figure out what you are feeding your plants rather than just relying on numbers?
Not THAT curious what my dog or cat is eating... but I am getting curious what my plants are eating.
Is using "ones own chemical detectors" a bad idea?
Hopefully what's good for them is good for me.

I mean diluted chemicals like Epsom salts or potassium nitrate etc in solution... ever taste what you are feeding your plants?

PS-- What burns your plants will burn you also because on a cellular level we arent that different. So dont just grab a handful of fertilizer and eat it. (Its a stretch to imagine that anyone out there is stupider than me but if so, then please be a little bit smart.)

Just my Molasses for me, so far - i can see it now: a grower tastes fish emulsion and spats it out, puts the jug down, falls to his knees and says "I'm SO sorry, AG baby doll; WHAT was i thinking??? Can you ever forgive me?" pthpbbpthh, hack, pttthhh...ohhh, man...Gee, I just had a Dick Wallace Pumpkin Toons moment. Always a good thing, lol---eg
