THE GPC is asking growers to list their questions within each thread, that they would like to ask our heavy hitter panelist.

I will create 4 separate threads for growers to list their ?'s For same questions that many may want to ask, vote for others questions if they list them before you post, so we can get a tally. We wont be able to ask every question submitted but we want to ask the questions MOST people want answered as time allows.

What is it you enjoy most about giant pumpkin growing? Also, (I hope there are is no such thing as a stupid question...) I think I can tell if a plant is stressed or if it is healthy but is there another level of plant health thats above healthy? (If so what superlative would you use to describe this?) What are telltale signs you are doing something right other than just observing the daily weight gain?
How, or what products, help you reach this next level?

What are the latest thoughts/experiences on the efficacy of using a solution of 100 ppm Ethephon (Florel) 48 hours after pollination? Some literature has reported that a lack of success may be attributed to a high pH and that the mixture should be around a pH of 4.5 to 4.8.
