The Pacific NW Giant Pumpkin Growers auction was a nice success and we wish to thank all the donors and bidders for their support.
In an effort to spice things up, we had a special prize for the eighth bidder on one lot and unfortunately, things got fast and wild. Once there was a winner announced, we heard complaints that another person should have been the winner. There were two interpretations of the 'rules' and both had some merit.
As a result, our club is going to give the prize, a free soil test from Western Labs in Parma, ID, to both of the individuals. We apologize for the confusion and hope these two people benefit from the soil test.
Both Levi and Pumpkin Farmer are winners. Congrats.

I was part of the complaints and thats the right way to go( again my opinion). I realize that because "overbidding " is new in this context and not allowed/disallowed or addressed by the written rules- a fun idea backfired. Was a goo/fun auction and I like that bonus on the 8th bid concept.Bravo PNWGPG!
