The boys from Spain had a very good auction, we are almost rich .... :) So after our meeting, we thought that we should propose a special prize in case someone gets a world record with one of our seeds in a GPC contest in 2021. We are sure that someone will make it. Here are the rules.

Valtierra- Spain GPC Weigh Off
offers a Bonus of € 2000 to any grower in the world, who sets a World record with a Mendi seed of 2020 or 2183.7 (2183.7-2552-2081-2026). In case the world record is achieved in Valtierra (Spain) there are an additional € 2000. € 4000 with mendi seed. Only one award, for the biggest Pumpkin of the year, if there are more than one world record. Payment will be made by Paypal, when all the Weigh Off GPC ends in October. If nobody succeeds, the bonus will accumulate by 2022, increasing the prize.

Brilliant idea! I doubt those Mendi seeds would see much dirt without that kicker...

Kidding aside, very generous. I'm guessing next year's auctions will have a lot of chances to get seeds from growers who were gunning for the prize
