Can I till feed grade kelp meal into my soil this spring instead of the more expensive ones sold to gardeners? I'm looking at $120 for gardening kelp vs $50 for feed. Is there much of a difference?

Sodium content would be my only concern. Other than that, it should be ok.

I asked the same question when I went to a nursery/feed store and they told me it was the same. The only difference was the label they put on the bag. I stopped using it because I felt the salt content was to high.

I use feed grade all the time, 25 to 35 lbs per 1000.
