Will the myco that I put on my patch in 2020 overwinter in South Dakota soil and be available in 2021?

A licensed pca/cca told me once it’s in the soil it stays.

Stays in the soil.

Does get damaged by tilling so survives better in no-till

per a lot of research a few years ago, the milder the winter the better the chance of it surviving, like, temps waaay below anything i was worried about in CNY (-20?), and either a no-till, as was said, *or an establishment of a cover crop immediately after tillage to sustain and continue its life cycle is advisable.* *means 'my own opinion' but it's probably very valid;
i also read or heard that you have from 1-2 weeks after crop killage/tillage to reestablish that sustenant crop of any kind.
if no plant roots to attach to, and over a slow freezing period as in the fall, the product goes dormant, but it's always better to have any crop there, other than pumpkins, lol---
i DO advise 2 pounds or more per 1000 SF, incorporated into the ENTIRE growing area, not just at the rooting nodes. eg
