First a Spanish record, then a France record, a bushel gourd world record, a pumpkin a few pounds off, and a marrow a few pounds off. All in all, 10 7+ pound tomatoes, 2nd and 3rd largest pumpkins ever, a 1800+ pound squash, a 146 inch long gourd, just a few inches from the world record, a new York field pumpkin record, and all in all a good year.
Good luck, or good weather?

Hmm...
Okay, i was just wondering if the temperature glabably, aka global warming/climate change, was effecting the maximum weights possible, or if it was just a lucky year, or if more people and more time, and took better care of their plants.

The weather patterns will shift cold spots & hot spots & some in between. So the good regions may be different each year. The hot spots will suffer as will the cold spots. So I guess it is luck of the weather has some play on what you get.Even greenhouses need sun shine to work.So cloudy weather can really hurt your numbers. There are no shoe ins in this sport
