Though the NC State Fair will not be held this year we will have a GPC weigh-off at the fairgrounds Saturday October 10th. $5 Registration fee per grower. Registration begins at 9am and will close at 11am. The weigh-off will begin at 12pm. Masks and social distancing are required. The weigh-off is closed to the public at large however we will try to Face Time the event.

Kerr-Scott building. Enter Gate 9 off of Trinity road.
All GPC listed classes will be weighed or measured for GPC documentation.

Prize structure:

Pumpkins and Watermelons

1st - $300
2nd - $225
3rd - $175
4th-8th $50
9th-10th $25

NC State Fair ribbons will be awarded.

The NC State Fair would like to retain the top 3 pumpkins and watermelons for a small walk through display during fair week as we look forward to 2021. Seeds can be recovered by one of us and sent back to the grower or the pumpkin/watermelon can be picked up when the display comes down. Though the fair will not be in session there are junior livestock events happening during the week and it's anticipated a few Fair food trucks will be in operation along with a small walk through display.
