Found a Soft spot towards blossom end about a week ago that was treated with sulfur powder and a constant fan on to keep it dry. It stopped spreading but noticed today it started to spread. I sprayed with peroxide, dried area and applied daconil and sulfur powder. Weigh off is in 10 days and I wasn’t sure if I should cut out soft spot or just keep it dry and ride it out with applying powders. I posted a picture in my diary. Any advice would be appreciated

My opinion if you cannot dry it out and it is still very wet then it is still rotting. Generally you have to rid the area of rot so it does not spread and then treat it with sulfur and a fan 24 hours until it drys. If the rot started from the outside you have a chance but if it started from the inside you are probably all done and could poke your finger inside the wall of the fruit. If it started from the outside remove the rot brown color until you see a healthy looking inside pumpkin wall hopefully you won’t go to deep. I would use a tooth brush and a mix of 10 percent bleach and 90 percent water dry it good with a rag Sulphur it and place a fan on it if that doesn’t do it the rot is probably to deep and you might get disqualified. I wish you the best of luck and hope you make it to your weighoff.
