I'm not affiliated in any way with the event (other than hoping to enter my pumpkin) but the event was officially cancelled last week. No word on if there is an alternate weigh off planned. GPC still shows the event as planned.
Pretty bummed, it was the only one for several hundred miles. Figures I'd start growing pumpkins because covid cancelled everything, then somehow be surprised when all the pumpkin festivals got cancelled.

You're more than welcome to come on up to our Bloomfield Giant Pumpkin Bash September 26th. I will be getting the event information posted soon on prize money.

Oklahoma (Saturday, September 19), is still a go. Claremore is about 25 miles northeast of Tulsa.

Reach out to them, I think they wanted to hear from the growers. Some weigh offs are still happening even though the corresponding festival has canceled

That really surprises me since everything else in that section of the state is open with some simple rules to follow.

I was a little surprised too, but Greene county is a little more serious about everything than a lot of surrounding counties. I think they also rely on students/ FFA kids for volunteers, so that may have complicated it. I did reach out, they are feeling out growers to see if enough people would be interested in an alternate weigh off (no prizes, but still recorded with GPC). I was never in danger of winning any prizes, so that may be the best I can hope for. Claremore and Bloomfield may be a stretch to get the family on board for to show a 'little' 150 lb'r
