Just a quick question, I have one pumpkin in the very early stages, the flower has not even bloomed yet. I noticed that the main vine next to it has been what looks like eaten through. With the proximity to the pumpkin I was wondering if this would affect its growth at all. https://imgur.com/a/RFxdY77

You are fine. Thats a field pumpkin, right? C. Pepo not C. Maxima? That damaged part will probably still contribute to the pumpkin. I think they can still move a lot of juice through damaged areas.

Yes , C. pepo. Thanks for the response! Just wanted to get another set of eyes on it. I’ve been struggling with a lot of aborts so I finally have a good looking one so didn’t want to take any chances

Looks like its just a vine split, no big deal. I would try to keep it dry. maybe keep a small table or something over it the rest of the season. Splits that run parallel like that will not hurt one bit, pumpkin will grow just fine.
