Subject: T tape leaks

I placed some t tape and the perma loks leak. The locs leak where it goes in the tubing part,is ther something i could put in the perma loc so it stops the leak? thanx

I always make sure to cut the drip tape so that there isn't an emitter at the tape loc. I think it also helps to have the drip tape cold so that it's somewhat rigid when trying to push it past the barb.

It sounds like the hole that you poked may be a tad too big, if its leaking at the barb/ main header . I have had a few that leaked at the barb. You can try to put a piece of duct tape around, maybe two layers, and poke a small hole thru where the original hole is at. Push the barb back through and try that. If the leak does not stop, I would pull the barb out and tape heavily over the bad hole, wrap for several inches. Poke a new hole in your header and try again. I would get another fitting, as that one may be stretched out in the barb.
