I thought there was a good chance that may happen. Did you start an early plant for the fair competition Bill? I hope you and your family are staying healthy. Doug

Joe Ailtz has assured me there will be a weighoff option for Stillwater. There may be no prizes since the sponsors are all small businesses that have been shut down for months. And the weighoff procedure is yet to be determined. In addition to the fair, Anoka has been cancelled. I have heard nothing yet about Gale Woods. You might have more info Bill. I have four plants in the ground. I will figure out how to get them weighed.

Due to all the cancellations of weigh offs due to covid safety. I feel the GPC needs to come up with an alternative plan and set of rules which in my opinion should be being worked on now. The rules specific to the fruit (inspection criteria, condition and identity) need to stay as is. But others could be temporarily changed. What Joe Ailtz is suggesting and planing I feel could be done anywhere as long as safety first is adhered to. Ribbons and plaques are the least of my concerns. But it’s important to me that what I’ve spent an entire year planning and growing, gets legitimately documented with the GPC by what ever means possible under these conditions.
