I posted a pic in my diary of something I've never seen before from a plant. Huge 1st leaf, dwarf 2nd and 3rd leaf anf 4th leaf getting ready to open. Also have shoots emerging from stem where cots are and from 1st leaf. Will try to post another pic. Wondering what might be going on. I've probably started over 200 plants and have never seen this before. I've got plenty of backups and will let this one grow out for a while. It's only been up for 10 days.

Update: Both second and third leaf curled up and are about done. 4th leaf is starting to open and looks fine as of right now. 1st true leaf still looks great and is as big as the gallon pot.

Ive had many seedlings do that with the leaves in young seedlings. It has something to do with light, temperature when the plants are in containers. They always grow out of their funk. Its not a disease.

I ran out of potting mix and decided to throw a backup plant in some garden soil I had laying around that had a fair amount of nitrogen in it. It came up similarly to how Big T Hoff described... could Nitrogen have done it? Mine appears to have grown out of it.

Mine is growing out of it. I planted 20 the same way. This is the only one it happened to. Was told it should grow out of it. Looking much better towards 5th leaf. Also looking like all the snow has melted and warmer weather is on the way.
