I need to send a seed to Austria from the USA. Can anyone tell me if there is anything special I need to do to safely get a seed to Austria? Thanks!

Fill out a customs form before you take it to the post office.

I've sent several seeds to Europe and they made it there without an APHIS certificate. Maybe required now with Covid-19. It's easier to send seeds out of the US than send them in.

Most European countries don't request documents other than the standard customs sticker. Usually "gardening supplies" is sufficient. Italy has other rules.

The USPS no longer accepts the hand-printed customs forms. The USPS will complete the form electronically and generate the form themselves.
