In Southern New England, winter has been pretty much non-existent. I probably should keep my mouth shut for a few weeks as we could still get some winter. But.... I am curious about other areas of the country. How has your winter been? I have seen a few diaries with snow in the pictures.

November was harsh & cold December thru Feburary very mild winter indeed. Now a little winter is here. Will be interesting to see what spring brings. The weather is consistent.Consistently extreme.

My part of MN wasn't too bad. Had snow on the ground pretty early and it hasn't melted. The amount of snow to accumulate hasn't been that bad and when it's snowed it has often been the weekend. Not too many bitterly cold days, either.

Most of the snow in my area is gone, but the timber and deep valleys like my garden still have some left. We had a couple below zero mornings, but over all this winter wasn't nearly as bad as last year.

Coldest winter in 10 years and snowiest in 3 years in anchorage, so far and not much is going to change for the next couple weeks...but the days are getting longer!

Bubba we had similar as you describe. It started off cold in November and December. It seemed like it was going to be a bad one, But since Christmas it has been much milder than normal.
I have a planting of running bamboo that gets yellow freeze damaged leaves in most winters. This year the leaves are still dark green. That is pretty good proof of how mild it has been this winter.

Mild here... only a few days at twenty degrees. We got snow twice but spring looks to be early. We are ahead of normal by 2-3 weeks depending how you define normal. Nothing exceptional in the forcast though.

Over a foot of snow over the past 2 days of hell. High winds & drifts over 6' deep behind the back shed. Winter has been here since the 1st of November, so just be thankful you don't have any.
Somebody go kill those damn lying groundhogs.

Here in Oregon it’s been balmy. Rain here and there. Zero snow this winter in my area. It got down to 25F one night, that’s it.

So far 12 days -40 or lower plus another 21 days -30 to -39, and calling for -30 again tonight. So far less snow than normal. Exact opposite of pre-winter forecast of warm, wet winter!

Looks like the skiers and snowmobilers will have a great time.
