We had Wetzel and Clayton (me) and I know Mr. Trychta attempted it. Need pics prior to Halloween if you want your entry to be considered. Email pics to me or post 'em. Please let this be a contest for intentionally blossom down entries... but yes many blossom-under pumpkins this year but the competition is supposed to support the growers who do make the intentional effort. Blossomdownster(s) diary for more info.
I will try to keep the contest fun and keep it going for those who want to give it a try in the future. On a personal note I grew two this way both made it to the scale. 464.5 and 450.5. I have not had much trouble yet. Based on past comments it seems the stem side could be vulnerable as they get larger. Thanks for the participation and attempts and thanks to all who have shared their knowledge. BC
