The last few weeks I,ve developed some green discoloration around the lower half of the pumpkin. Covering at night and a lot of days when it rained I.m sure didn,t help. Any suggestions on removing green color? Clorox won’t touch it.

That is a fairly common occurence. I have a couple 400 pounders turning green near the stem end. They have been off the plant for a couple of weeks now and they are turning greener by the day. There is nothing you can really do about it. Some of them color up in odd ways as they ripen.

Agree with Mr Moon, very common especially late in the season just when you're thinking you'll have a solid orange beaut.
