Hello, I am organizing a 4-H weigh off in Ithaca, NY on October 12 and am hoping to find some information about finding a scale. This is going to be a very small weigh off and will not be official. It's connected to some other 4-H events. We have held this event the past two years but the growers have managed to get their pumpkins weighed ahead of time with a sling or on a truck bed scale. If anyone knows of someone in central NY who knows about borrowing or renting a scale, any help would be greatly appreciated!

I emailed a grower in your area that might be able to help track one down. If all else, you can borrow my inline scale ( http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=284232 )
It's not certified, but it has been within a pound every time I've checked it against an official weight.

Thanks! That would certainly be better than nothing and we are not too worried about it being certified
