There were we are at a very low point lately for sunspots... So according to some scientists this would explain our mini ice-age weather.

Ok that came out wrong...
Simply we are at a low/zero point for sunspots. Its somehow tied to these sort of ice age weather patterns. The physics I cant explain but clearly the odds are against a super warm year this year.

Any update on Pustula?
Your diary posts are so rambling that I just glaze over, and I can feel my brain attempting to gnaw its way through my skull, for survival.

The suggested physics: fewer sunspots correlate with a less active Sun and fewer solar storms. An active Sun blocks lots of the cosmic rays (high-velocity electrons, atomic nuclei, etc.) from outside of the solar system from reaching Earth. Cosmic rays help create clouds. So fewer sunspots = more cosmic rays = more clouds = cooler weather.
