HI, i am wondering when would be a good time to start the 384 terry bushel gourd seed? I've heard its slow in the beginning so would starting it early be better? Im looking to plant it outside in Mid May. Thanks

I'm starting mine now. Seeds take longer to germinate, and they depend on heat of summer to develop. Always seem to be late in setting fruit, so need a bit more of a head start.

I have tried shelling seeds to start. A couple of hours soaking, and wet towel. They germinate in only a couple of days.

Are you putting up a third hoop house? Simple questions often require more questions for a proper answer.

As woods is referring to-you can start now if you can keep the seedling in warm soil.If not start them late april or early may
