I will have to start taking a box of seed packs every year to the local hardware store. I certainly don't need more seeds.

I think a lot of folks are in the same position of having excess seeds that they will never grow. Our California club tries to give away free seeds as much as possible but it's getting harder and harder to have free seeds in any sort of quantities. We had 67,000 people over two days attend our last weigh-off. Maybe we could consider some sort of seed swap giving excess seeds to those clubs that are interested in providing them to the public. 4H, FFA etc are all ways to encourage new growers. Just a thought....

(to me) Collecting seeds is sort of like baseball cards. I like to go through the old ones and reminisce. I have seeds from growers that I will probably never grow but they still have value to me. Especially if the grower is no longer with us.

I have a whole refrigerator dedicated to seed storage and most of a small freezer. A lot of my seeds though are for my commercial patch that I buy in 250 seed quantities from seed companies.
