A couple questions. 1st. How much is everyone paying for peat moss. A store is closing in my town and they are selling 2.2 cubic feet for $6.16 2nd. I have unlimited access to corn stover/stocks. Would that replace the need for peat moss? Thank you

Well the original price that they jacked up was 14.38 per 2.2. And it is 60 percent off. If I did the math correctly it should be 6.16

You would not want to till in much corn stover in the spring unless you are adding an extra nitrogen source. All of that dry matter would tie up a lot of nitrogen as it decomposes. Tilling in moderate amounts in the fall with some manure added wouldn't be so bad. But an even better option is to compost it. Chop the stalks up well and mix them with manure, grass clippings without any herbicides or another good nitrogen source. Depending on how often you turn the pile, you could have finished compost in 1 to 2 years. Corn stalks are a good source of phosphorus and potash when composted.

I also have corn stover that is 4 years old, but isn’t composted. Can I burn it and spread the ash?
