            | benny_p | Germany | I had two " half-bred" AG/Squash this season : 833* Razo(962* Razo x 1068 Wallace)and 752* Landry ( 848 McKenzie * 1420 LaRue ) I selfed both plants, the 833* brought me a salmon-coloured, the 752* a medium orange pumpkin. How great is the probability of getting a greenie from this seeds? 25 % ? more? less?Thanks for your opinions
 Benny

            | gartenmundl (Raimund) | Germany (Bavaria) | Hi Benny,I think you will get pumpkins again. Orange genes are dominant. Probably less then 25% to get a greenie.

            | CountyKid (PECPG) | Picton,ON ([email protected]) | I have heard that the more you self this type of cross the green will eventually come out. It can take up to three generations to get the green back on a consistant basis. I sure this varies with the genetic package. | 10/28/2008 8:53:06 PM |
