            | Tomato Man | Colorado Springs, CO | Your pH isn't that bad ! One sees that you added five key components. Repeat #2, #4 and #5, perhaps, and make a generous investment in a truly good, high-quality, compost material. Don't buy the cheapest "compost" the market offers. | 4/11/2009 11:19:44 PM |
            | John-D-Farmer | Breslau, Ontario, Canada | Thanks Tomato Man!
I have 50lbs of kelp, 150lbs of granular Humic, 20lbs of Blood meal and 9 lbs of bonemeal as well as some K-Mag. that I will be adding this week.

I was thinking a few bales of peat moss which may lower my pH ever so slightly.

Should I add these ammendments now and then cover with compost and manure and plow over? or add it on top of the compost/manure?

            | Milford | milford, CT, | John...plow/till it in...get it mixed in good with the compost...I used peat moss a few years back when my PH was 7.2 and it helped bring it down some..It definetly won't hurt..Mark | 4/14/2009 2:12:54 PM |
