Yes it's another what to plant question, but with an old school twist. I have these options.
845 x 723 Bobier 846 Calai x 898 Knauss 846 Calai x 801 Stelts 898 Knauss x 869.5 Calai 1132 Eaton x 842 Eaton
I'm sure everyone is already scratching their heads on what they will plant. Just wondering if any of these jump out at you. I wish one was 845 x 898

Shaker, I have an extra 1081 Leonzi (845 x 898) I bought from seedoutlet.com before it closed. Unless your talking about wanting to actually cross an 845 by an 898 I would gladly send you one for free. E-mail me if you are interested.

I like 'em all shaker. I have an 808.5 Gibson 2002(712 Kuhn x 846 Calai) that I am seriously considering as a last spot option. It's the very first AG I ever grew to a weight of 568 pounds and I really liked its shape and color.
You might like Jerry Rose's 1367.5 as an old-school option. We just auctioned one off(went cheap) and I believe we will have another at an upcoming auction. The first one I grew produced enormous blossoms, both male and female, but I pulled it after a windstorm snapped the main and I would be damned if I was going to pollinate on a secondary vine again.

shaker no disrespect intended but to me old school is just that OLD. ya wanna knock of the biz ? or that big brute joe scherber ? or the wizzzzzz?, go new or should i say NEW SCHOOL? those seeds mentioned were great in their day however unless they have a current track record of championship weights?,then just like any other product over the years, newer more desirable models are available.
if growing a championship competition pumpkin would you not be better served with the newer more advanced genetics available today?
just a thought

Yeah, I'd just sprinkle a little garlic salt on those old worthless crosses and plant them in your oven. You certainly wouldn't find any of those old genetics in any of them newfangle seeds available today ;)

Really? Really? Must be that Cabin Fever getting the best of you Dave. It's called humor. You should try it sometime. Beats the hell out of all that political negativity. Oops, now I've gone and done it... It's all in fun Dave, lighten up buddy, BF

Didn't sound like humor for one. two I haven't brought up politics in a long time because there is no need anymore everyone can see the disaster, three this is the wrong thread to talk about politics, four I don't know how you know my name.
