Funny you posted this message.... I was about to post a message about the 1385 Daletas.
I also noticed that the 1385 had only 4 offspring listed on the aggc.
My question is, How does a beautiful orange world record setting pumpkin in 2003 only have 4 offspring listed on the aggc??? When nowadays people are blow $200+ on top same year seeds and planting the heck out of them!!
just seems kinda odd to me, Was there some type of defect to the fruit, or was there a really low seed count?
THanks for any input,
Erik

FYI, I grew a 1385 Daletas in '04. My notes say the fruit was orange and measured 333" OTT. It cracked when I rested it on my knee when my buddies tried to slide a pallet under it. The plant was good, but the main snapped early so this pumpkin was grown on a side vine. It was crossed w/ a 1367 Rose. (thus 777Barlow'04 est/dmg)...John
