872 jutras same cross as the 1385 is the size keeping it from getting planted

id guess its the results not the mothers size that growers look at. when given a choice of two seed stocks with identical genetics ? we will most times choose the seed with the best history however, if there were no planting history available? id choose the seed from the heavier mother.
theres no guarentee that the same cross produces the same results.thats why remakes are most time not a big success.
for this reason many growers tend to go for the proven cross not the remake.
