Dill's Atlantic Giants were looked at by Libby (largest pumpkin canner) but the variety was given up on. Due to the very low sugar content they simply do not taste good. Farmers hat DAGs too. They get too heavy for conventional harvesting techniques.

You could make a lot of money if you got animals, like cows, interested in eating AG's. Just sprinkle a little sugar on them.

I've fed them to the cattle and eaten them myself. It's fine as long as your not using systemic fungicides and pesticides. Some are sweeter than others and that probably has to do with the growers techniques. This is what I've heard from some of the carvers who like to sample the fruit they're working on. Again, I would never eat AG's that have had systemic pesticides applied to them.
